Creating 3D Structures

Can anyone give guidance on how to create 3D vs 2D structures like the one attached?  This is the Walthers N scale Shops 3224 included in the Objects library.  I'm hoping there is the ability for users to create or import similar 3D representations of structures.  This would be super helpful for visualizing the final layout.  I've search throughout the forums and online with no success.  I've tried messing around with height contours to create a cube but contours creates embankments, not a smooth sided cube (elevated blob to left in attached).  Is there a way to import a simple .obj or similar 3D file object?

Thanks!

David

At the moment, there is no way for users to create their own structures in 3D.

Okay, David. I'll bite...
Someone, somewhere, is creating these objects. How are THEY creating them? What software are they using?

For the buildings we've added, these were created in Blender by us, using their 2D footprints as a base.
However, a few format transformations are required to use these in our 3D engine.

Thanks for the reply.  Bummer.  The plot plans are useful but a simple 3D block version would be super great.
