With the increased use of LED's, would it be possible to add a variety of colours and sizes to the symbols list.  As an example, it would enable the ability to create a variety of indicators for a  control panel as one of the layers.  You would then have a control panel plan for use as an underlay.

Greg, did you check the Symbolic library ? This is specific designed for control panels, including LED indicators.

Have looked at 810, 811 and 812.  When inserted they are too small and the size on them is not adjustable that I can see.  The control panel plan would be a scaled version of the layout and not a diagrammatic representation.  What I would be looking to do is have 3mm LED indicators for the direction of points, live blocks and sections.  If an LED was available, a wiring plan could also be drawn as one of the layers.  Having an adjustment for size on the existing symbols of 810, 811 and 812 would do the trick.

Hi Greg,

Well, so far we kept them quite small as they will usually just be an indication where to drill for the real LED.

Of course we can add some more items to snap on to symbols.

Hi David.

I go with Railfettler's suggestion. I actually tried it with some of my signals and can see a definite advantage in getting a full pictorial image of one's proposed panel before going to the layer that will be the actual artwork.

General query. Can anyone come up with a way to print from an AnyRail printout to an aluminium sheet?

All the best everyone,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

It might be worth you contacting these people, at least to find out how much it would cost for your specific needs.

Thanks Pete.

Do you have any experience of these people. Are they happy to do one-off jobs like this? If so, they coudl be a boon to modellers.

All the best,
Chris.
