More variable zoom in \ out scales?

Would it be possible to incorporate further variable zoom scales in a future release?

At the moment, the scale can be changed via the specific scale ranges ie from 1:6, 1:8, 1:10 etc. Would it be possible to make the scale change from say 1:10 onwards by the zoom so the user could if they wanted, change the scale for example between 1:10 to 1:11, 1:12, 1:13, 1:14 etc, etc.

Another advantage of variable zoom is that at 1:10 my layout is too big for my screen while 1:12 leaves quite a bit of my screen unused! I dont really see the point in having scales around and above 1:75 but that's just me!

Hi All,
David would it be possible to have the scale as increasing/decreasing in increments of 100, 10 and/or 1.
This is what I mean, next to the "height in view" on the home, you add "scale ranges" with 3 fields for 1's, 10's and 100's.
So that you can decide on whether you want to change scale from 1 to 9, 10 to 90 or 100 to 900 and when/if you place a number in any of the fields it will multiply the effect, so 9,15 or 999 is possible.
