In the Settings tab, the slopes section, the entry window for setting the maximum percentage on slopes is a narrow little slit that no number can be added into or seen. Is there something else I have to select for this window to show wide enough to enter a number?  ???

Also, when working with track height the height numbers show up right under the track so they can not be easily read.

And, when I turn on the grid and set it at 12 (inches?) the grid only show up in a few places where I have placed objects in the room and on the object. The grid doesn't show up on the bench work or the floor around the bench work.

Sorry to have so many problems, but I'm new at this.  :P

Could it be that you've set Windows to use large fonts?
That might explain the small entry field for the slope percentage.
Of course we need to fix this.

The fact that the grid does not show up everywhere is a bit strange.
Would it be possible to send us a screen dump of that?
What version of Windows are you using?

By the way, all values are in the units you've set in the 'Settings' tab.

The grid problem could be because the room floor is sort of white and the grid lines are sort of white and so don't show. Where I have a lightly colored object the grid lines show through lightly. I'm using Windows 7 and am fairly computer literate.

OK, how do I post a screen dump or any other picture or ".any" file ??? I read the help section on the insert Image code and it appears I have to have the image on a web site. Thanks

OK, that probably explains the issue with the grid.

To post a file, click 'Additional Options...' just below where you enter your message on the forum. There, you can attach things.

I'm hoping this will work to show my layout is first draft form. I have not yet added any sidings. ;D

I hope I'm right that you are inviting comment on the layout. Is there some reason in particular that you're using Piko track?

I'm quite happy to have suggestions about the developing track plan. I'm putting the latest update on the Track Plans board. I'm using Piko track because it seems to be the only one with curved turnouts. Since I'm into hand laying my own rail and turnouts this seems the best available way to simulate curved turnouts.
